Welcome to eChat. By downloading, installing, or using the eChat application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully before using the App.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using eChat, you confirm that you are at least 13 years of age, have read and understood these Terms, and agree to be legally bound by them. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Description of Service
eChat is a secure, end-to-end encrypted messaging application that allows users to send text messages, voice messages, images, videos, and make voice/video calls. The App is provided "as is" and may be updated or modified at any time.
3. User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
You must provide accurate and complete information when registering.
You are solely responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to use eChat to:
Send spam, unsolicited messages, or bulk communications.
Harass, threaten, or harm other users.
Distribute illegal content, malware, or viruses.
Violate any applicable local, national, or international law or regulation.
Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the App.
Impersonate any person or entity.
5. Privacy
Your use of eChat is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
6. Intellectual Property
All content, trademarks, logos, and software associated with eChat are the exclusive property of eChat Inc. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works without our prior written consent.
7. Disclaimers
eChat is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure service.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, eChat Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the App.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to eChat at any time, with or without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify users of significant changes via in-app notification or email.
11. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Pakistan. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Pakistan.

2. End-to-End Encryption
All messages sent through eChat are protected with end-to-end encryption (E2EE). This means only you and the recipient can read your messages — not eChat, not our servers, not any third party. Encryption keys are stored only on your device.
